School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

P&C meetings

Join our vibrant P&C. Meetings are usually held Week 3 and 7 of every term in the school library. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.

Stage 3 Excursion to Canberra
Date: Monday 4th May - Friday 8th May (Week 3)
Time: 6:00am drop off on Monday - Estimated pick up on Friday 4:30pm. This year, our Year 5 and 6 students are invited to take part in an exciting five-day adventure to our nation’s capital, Canberra.
This is far more than a school trip. It is an opportunity for students to step beyond the classroom and immerse themselves in Australia’s history, science, sport and democracy in a hands-on, engaging way.
NSW Premier's Spelling Bee - School Level - Years 3 to 6
Date: Tuesday 19th May 2026 (Week 5)
Time: 9:30am
The NSW Premier’s Spelling Bee is a fun and challenging competition that encourages students to build spelling skills, confidence and a love of language. Students will take part in a supportive school-level competition, demonstrating careful listening, perseverance and a positive attitude, with successful spellers progressing to the next stage.
Healthy Harold Visit - Life Education
Date: Tuesday 9th June 2026 (Week 8)
Time: All Day
Healthy Harold is a much-loved health and wellbeing program delivered by Life Ed. During the visit, students will take part in engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support their understanding of healthy choices, personal safety, friendships, emotions and looking after their bodies.
The program uses interactive activities, discussions and the familiar Healthy Harold giraffe character to help students build important knowledge and skills in a fun and memorable way. We look forward to welcoming Healthy Harold to Attunga Public School.
Term 2 Major Assembly
Date: (Tentative Date) Friday 19th June - TBC
Time: 2:10pm
Our Term 2 Major Assembly is an opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate student learning, effort and achievement across the term.
During the assembly, students will be recognised for their hard work, positive behaviour and contributions to school life. Families and community members are warmly invited to join us as we acknowledge the wonderful achievements of our students and share in this special school event.
